About Me
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Registered Art Therapist. Having received my BA in History and Art History from UCLA, I worked in the corporate world for nearly 20 years before changing careers and earning my MA in Psychology. Prior to starting my own private practice I worked as a school counselor and a psychotherapist in a community counseling center. I have also been an adjunct faculty member in the Art Therapy program at Phillips Graduate Institute teaching grad students about client treatment, trauma-informed therapy, and research writing.
I truly love what I do because I get the opportunity to help my clients recognize and build upon their own unique strengths. I believe that everyone has the ability to not need therapy - seriously. However, sometimes we have to go to therapy to find those tools again. We are all capable of meeting life on our terms, and therapy can help us do that.
I provide individual therapy to adolescents and adults and specialize in the following areas:
-
Depression
-
Anxiety
-
Trauma
-
Self-Esteem
-
Relationships
